Hizbullah condemns statement of French FM Bernard Kouchner:

Hizbullah strongly condemns the statements made by the French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, in which it sees clear traces of "Israel's" voice, and a full denial of France's history and inheritance of resistance against aggression and occupation.

Hizbullah is surprised that the remarks by France's Minister of Foreign Affairs, contradict confirmed reports of UN forces in southern Lebanon- France being a participating member in these forces- about daily "Israeli" attacks on Lebanon and violations of its sovereignty.

Hizbullah sees in this position an attempt to clear the "Israeli" enemy and provide a cover for its repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty, hence a protection for the "Israeli" occupier as well as an encouragement to persist in its attacks.

Hizbullah condemns this collusive and non-balanced attitude, and requests the French authorities to play a role commensurate with the responsibility France has long claimed to bear of ensuring the safety and sovereignty of Lebanon.
