Photo Report: National Day against Cluster Bombs, A Tree for Every Bomb

After the Zionist enemy spread cluster bombs all over the lands in South Lebanon, the youth now shovel to bring back their land's vitality and plant a tree in place of every cluster bomb, hoping that Lebanon would once more be "Green".
April 4, the "National Day of Action against Cluster Bombs" was launched by the Lebanese center of Mine Control in the Lebanese Army, Lebanese national Awareness Association, Scouts Federations, Governmental and Non-governmental organizations, mine and cluster bomb control companies in Lebanon. The campaign against cluster bomb aimed at increasing awareness against the dangers of cluster bombs in the previously targeting areas.
The 4th of April was a long day of awareness activities, starting with planting a tree in place of every cluster bomb in order to promote the culture of life. Hundreds of scouts' members from different Lebanese Scouts federation set out to plant trees in previously mined fields in Kaakaiyat El Jeser, Ghandouriyeh, Khiyam, Markaba, Aytouli, Rmadiyeh, Kfar Hamam, and Majdal Balghis.
Lectures would be held and publications would be distributed on the awareness against cluster bombs and their damages since July war 2006 in this occasion.
Since the 2006 "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon, 46 civilians were killed in cluster bomb explosions, and 300 civilian wounded, although almost 52% of the cluster bomb areas were wiped.
