Jumblatt: “Israeli” Claims Raises Many Question Marks

Head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt called in his weekly stance for "Al-Anbaa" newspaper for the stoppage of discussing the weapons issue trough media, saying that this would only lead to the increase of tensions on the internal level.

Jumblatt considered that brining up these issues in coincidence with the "Israeli" accusations of transferring scud missiles from Syria to Lebanon, raises more than one question mark.

He assured on the importance of limiting the scattered security problems that take place here and there and consider them regular incidents that security forces would deal with, and leave them out of exaggeration.

As for those who say that the presence of the weapons might lead to an aggression, Jumblatt says, "we ask them to review the historic events during which "Israel" had spared no effort in expressing its animosity toward Lebanon."

""Israel" had attacked Lebanon times and times before the existence of these arms or any arms of the previous resistances," Jumblatt added
