Hizbullah Unions and Labor Central Unit Congratulates Workers on Labor Day

On Labor Day, Hizbullah Unions and Labor Unit issued the following statement:
Workers of Lebanon, Congratulations
Again this Year, Labor Day comes in Lebanon while workers live with their families amid worst living circumstances, overwhelmed with taxes, fees, high prices, lack of purchase ability of their salaries. They are left victims of political, economic, and social subjugation, as if there no one is in charge of their situation and well-being.
This year, Labor Day comes while the government escapes its responsibility of solving problems of electricity, water, housing, medical treatment, and education problems. All life and living portfolios of the Lebanese citizens are opened to disability and despair, and responsibility of solving these issues are thrown among officials with no hope of resolution.
The current government, like previous ones, is not aware of what it's doing with Lebanon and the Lebanese, due to its indifference in dealing with living situations, and not being concerned with life priorities. Lebanese people are today left for their tragic destiny in social policies which have tried the Lebanese people, putting them in a whirlpool of ethical, national, and human deeds' shatter.
Labor Day comes this year in the teeth of a system of economic and social policies, almost loosing with it the national identity in favor of capitals, foreign aids, and suspected donations.
It is very important that the government, its ministers, political leaders and all investors, understand that their homeland is not developed by foreign labor.
In addition, there is no substitute of national-spirited labor for non-national spirited labor, exploiting their country's abilities and investing them in foreign sections.
Lebanese Labor feel that they work in their country for the benefit of the outside, due to the government's lack of support and protection of the national industrial productive sections, the absence of legal and political shield, and begging for foreign capitals and free-tax investments which support national treasury.
Lebanese labor cannot feel the pride of productions, for they are actually working for favor of companies that are mostly conspirators against national issues.
Labor Day is ought to come along with awards for exerted efforts, yet employees of Lebanon are today without any award, but only more to eliminate their rights.
Some employers don't care about the destruction of trust between them and their employees, who have lost the motivations to produce with higher production standards. The major national threat is the Lebanese labor and producers, is losing hope in the ability of giving and developing their country and raising its productivity.
On their day of the year 2010, the Lebanese workers do not see by their side a guardian or a loyal partner parallel to their loyalty to national productivity, but they see their country's economy as an investment capital in a bank safe. Lebanese labor believe that Lebanon is their homeland, and no matter how life rolls over, depriving them of solving their problems, they will stay on the path of constant demanding of their rights, with patience and hope of a better future.
On Labor Day, Best Wishes for Lebanon, Lebanese Labor, Lebanese People, and the Lebanese Resistance.
