In response to US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman's statement on Hizbullah to one of the American Congressional committees, Hizbullah's press office issued the following statement on Wednesday:

"The US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman is disappointed by the failure of his conspiratorial plans, ever since he was the US ambassador to Lebanon [in 2004], and after assuming his new post as part of the US State Secretary team.

His mention of Hizbullah during his statement before the Lower Middle Eastern Affairs Subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs Congressional Committee is nothing but an expression of this disappointment.

The stands voiced by Feltman only prove he is representing "Israel's" interests in the US, where he continues what he was doing in Lebanon of concocting seditions and provocations to create division and disunion.

The statement added that Feltman's announcement comes at a time when the US is planning to give "Israel" more smart bombs from America's killing arsenal, which indicates the Zionist level of animosity and confirms American preparedness to provide cover and backing to this animosity and hostility, despite the face that these bombs are being used in assaults, occupation, targeting of civilians and innocent children."
