Hizbullah Emphasizes its Non-Participation at any Level with Freedom Fleet, Past or Present

Commenting on the "Israeli" statements that targeted in advance the ships departing from Lebanese ports with accusations and intimidation, Hizullah issued the following statement:

"While we in Hizullah applaud all the humanitarian effort and steps aimed at breaking the siege imposed on our noble people in the Gaza Strip, including the movement of past and coming ships, and while we also commend the courage and magnanimity of operators and participants, we emphasize-as it is our belief-that the success and safety of such action are subject to it being a popular civilian action.

Hence, we in Hizbullah decided from the beginning to stay away from this humanitarian move, whether at coordination, logistical support or direct participation levels. This is not out of stinginess but out of concern, and to deprive the enemy the opportunity to take any pretext to attack the participants in this move.
