Hizbullah Calls for Widest Participation in Grand Ayatollah Fadlallah’s Funeral

Commenting on the passing away of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, Hizbullah issued the following statement:

Lebanon, the Islamic Ummah (nation), and the entire world has lost the Grand Mujahid Ayatollah His Eminence Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah (May His Soul Rest in Peace).

He has filled the entire world with his knowledge, struggle, stances, and writings. Grand Ayatollah Fadlallah stood in face of the Zionist enemy as he audaciously supported the Resistance and the heroic Mujahideen, as the world witnessed his defiance and resistance to the occupation and its criminal actions and the price he paid for his stances as he expressed his rejection to the conspiracies of arrogant states.

Ayatollah Fadlallah was of the most prominent advocates who called for Islamic unity and fought sedition and discord. He lived with the people and shared with them their affairs, woes and guided them.

It is a great loss to us as he is a symbol we need. The death of a religious scholar causes such a void in Islam that nothing can fill up. To God we belong, and to him we shall return. His knowledge, jihad, and stances will always be a minaret to the free mujahideen.

Hizbullah presents its condolences to the Master of all time Imam Mahdi (aj), on the passing away of the scholar Fadlallah, as well as to the Fadlallah family and all his lovers in this world. Hizbullah calls for a wide participation in his funeral, declared the three coming days as mourning to express sadness and consolation.
