Nour Rida

Not only the Lebanese capital witnesses preparations for the reception of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but also the South.

Whether the coastal cities or the ones in the heart of the South, these all are embellished with different "accessories" that extend through the streets and high ways.

Banners, placards, bill boards, flags, all with the colors of the Iranian and Lebanese flags not to mention murals and huge photos posted on the bridges and entrances of the South...

Saida and Tyr, highways decorated for the reception, where the southerners are expected to wait for the Iranian President on the sidewalks, and at the entrances of the villages.

Cities and villages, all busy preparing for the President who will be accompanied by an Iranian delegation as well as Lebanese officials,

Hizbullah and Amal, both cooperating together and putting the final touches to the reception festival that will be held in the capital of resistance, Bint Jbeil.

Young and old, Lebanese citizens have expressed their warm welcoming and joy to the visit of Dr. Ahmadinejad, voicing their support to his stances over just causes.

This is the scene...of the different cities, groups, and people all busy in the reception of the Glorious President and supporter of right.

Bint Jbeil Mayor, Ali Beidoun told moqawama.org that preparations for the reception of Iranian President are almost done. He stated that the South is waiting impatiently to receive the man who helped its people get back to their homes after these were destroyed during the July war.

On the same note, Municipality member Hassan Beidoun said that the work is almost done, and the huge playground of Bint Jbeil will embrace an extraordinary celebration to pay gratitude and welcome to the Iranian President. He added that "The South, with its people, Mujahideen, martyrs' families, and everything in it is ready to welcome and salute president Ahmadinejad. He is the president of the oppressed."

As for the Southerners, all wait to see that humble man who will arrive to the land of pride and victory, that according to Bint Jbeil resident Ali Bazzi, would not have known reconstruction if it were not for the benevolence of Iran. "The Southern city that revealed "Israel's" weakness during the July war is receiving a man of victory, a man who never bowed before "Israel" and its atrocities," Bazzi told moqawama.org.

Hajje Zahra, an 86 year old mother, the wrinkles around her eyes as she smiles can almost tell the story of her life, as she recites how she lived the different wars and witnessed the different stages in Lebanon. Upon hearing the name Ahmadinejad, her smile got even wider and she started praying for him nonstop.

"May God protect this leader, for his the role model of good and righteous leaders who care about human beings and not about money and greed. He is the son of this country just like all of us, as the children of this country protect it and help its people," Hajje Zahra added.

More on the citizens, Nabatiyeh citizens described President Ahmadinejad's visit as "historical". They said that the preparations demonstrate nothing but a very humble expression of their warm welcoming to the Great leader, and as sign of gratitude to the efforts and support Iran presented to Lebanon during the past three decades.

Last but not least of witnesses to the generosity of the Islamic Republic and its president, Farah expressing gratitude said "Thank you is a word so inadequate to tell the President how we feel; he made our country even prettier than it was, and provided us with what any brother or family member would provide his sibling, warmth, love, care and support."
