Hizbullah Educational Mobilization at the Lebanese American University organized a Dinner at the Coral Beach Club on Wednesday evening and invited LAU students from various Lebanese backgrounds.

Hizbullah Educational Mobilization with its conservative, resistance, and co-existence ideology considers such activities as means for introducing and clarifying this ideology to students.

Moreover, it works on gathering students in order to meet and raise various issues of concern.
"Hizbullah was able to merge into all fields," Head of Hizbullah Educational Mobilization in Universities, Bilal Lakkis pointed out.

"Our Islamic ideology encourages us to meet and get acquainted with various peoples and backgrounds," he told Moqawama.org.

Lakkis clarified that the resistance ideology is one that is common between people, as it is the only means to fight oppression.

"It is classless and far beyond sectarian and regional limitations. It is related to oppression, which is a common interest for all people," he indicated, adding, "People unite around this topic more than any other political one."

Lakkis assured, "Political divisions in Lebanon reflect in universities. However, during such activities, we make sure to invite all the Lebanese groups in order to raise issues of common concern rather than issues of controversy."
"We are flexible in everything, except in our confrontation of "Israel", which we consider indisputable," he reassured.

In the ceremony hall, LAU student and Hizbullah representative Jihad Moghnieh delivered a speech before the diverse LAU students saying, "The "Israeli" society's components are military as well as educational. The resistance in Lebanon was capable of confronting the enemy in all aspects, and so it was present in the media field in addition to the educational one," he added.

Moghnieh assured that the Educational Mobilization has always been the minaret of education and Jihad that brought up religious and distinguished students who successfully interact in society.

The yearly ceremony organizers had a message to deliver to students, it is the "double major" idea they have been introducing in the events they organize.

Their double major symbolizes the importance of studying for attaining their university degree as well as practicing for defending their country's liberty and solidarity.

They presented a short film directed by an LAU student, about a young man in a classroom writing a paper about his summer activities that were different from other students. Unlike them, he spent his vacation on the Southern borders, which were later violated by a Zionist tank, leading to confrontations between the two sides and his martyrdom.

On his part, Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc MP Nawwar Saheli, delivered a speech explaining the crisis Lebanon is facing at this period.

After thanking LAU students for the touching film, MP Saheli emphasized the importance of education by quoting a statement for Imam Ruhollah Khomeini who said, "Education and self-discipline are the road to the level of humanity."

He reminded about the history of Hizbullah's emergence, adding, "Those young men were first described as crazy and later as adventurous. However, the group expanded, performed heroic operations, and was the first to defeat the enemy that withdrew from Lebanon without any agreement."

MP Saheli recalled July 2006 war and its American support, as when former US Foreign Minister Condoleezza Rice used to be asked about the martyrs, destruction, and the blood shedding in Lebanon, her response was, "This is the pain of the New Middle East Labor."

He assured that this project began in 14 February 2005 when PM Rafik Hariri was assassinated.
"This was the turning point and the American started its intervention in Lebanon," he said, reassuring, "They wanted to complete their elimination to the only resisting part in the region."
MP Saheli stated that this inciting conspiracy against Lebanon was present on 5 May 2008 and is continuing with the indictment today.

He warned about the incitement, assuring that it would affect all Lebanon and not just a small part.
On her part, Leader Martyr Imad Moghnieh's mother, who was passionately welcomed by the young men and women, for being the strong patient mother of their leader and ideal, told Moqawama.org, "These young men should hold the responsibility of defending their nation, which martyrs have held before them."

Um Imad reassured her son's advices about the equal importance of Jihad and education. "Today, arms and pens are equal. My advice to these young people is to be the carriers of both equally," she said, assuring, "Boys and girls have an equal duty and together they are the pillar of resistance.
