Checkpoint… You Can Go on Condition that You Spit in Your Wife’s Face!

Many are the peculiar incidents that occur at the checkpoints which Peninsula Shield Forces (Al Jazeera Shield Forces) have set in Bahrain, particularly at the entrances and exits of the villages. Likewise, many are the stories reported by the residents as respects these check points. This column will highlight, realistically and away from retouch, what incidents are going on at these check points.
Sometimes you're going to think deep inside that the most evil of inconveniences is what provokes laughter, and some other times your tear may run down your face, and you may say: We belong to God, and to Him we shall return.
Checkpoint 1
A group of religious young men between the ages of 19 and 21, whose appearances show their religiousness and their faces bear the signs of their good traits, were stopped by Peninsula Shield Forces at a checkpoint while they were on their way back from a restaurant. Despite the security restriction, these young men had decided to go out in order to break the siege imposed on the villages. At the checkpoint, they were ordered to get off the car. Then the soldiers of the Peninsula Shield searched the car in hope for finding the Bahraini flag, the possession of which has become an accusation in Bahrain! Once the soldiers found nothing, one of them headed towards the young man driving the car and asked him with an unfriendly and a broken accent (being from an Asian origin): Who is the prime minister?
The young man answered: Of course he is Abu Ali, and there is another... Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, certainly.
Then the security man asked him: But don't you claim that Musheime' is the prime minister?
And the young man replied: We say that! Nope, you are definitely wrong. It's not us...
Of course the young man's answer allowed him and his friend to pass the checkpoint, escaping the eventual arrest or beating.
Checkpoint 2
In one of the bitter mornings of Bahrain, the schoolteacher "X" was heading to the school where she worked, which lay in a village whose residents were extremely tortured. The lady was stopped by one of the checkpoints spread over the place. After interrogating her, the security men took her cellular phone, insulting and swearing at her. Then they began to search her SIM card and found, among the contacts list, the number of her husband, who worked in a Gulf state, so they called him and started provoking him. Although it was the phone number of the man's wife, the speaker was a man; the husband became worried and confused.
The army soldier calling the husband commenced horrifying and insulting him by saying: Do you know where your wife is now? She's with us, and we've f.... her. This made the wife cry and beg them not to do that to her husband, for he was abroad and would panic because of the lies they were telling; however, they did not care for her begging. Having hung up while the husband was still on the phone, the army soldiers began to laugh and let the wife pass! Once she hysterically reached the school, she started crying upon the ill treatment she had received... And when she calmed down, she called her husband, explaining to him what had happened and informing him that she was safe.

A Bahraini citizen and his wife reached a checkpoint on one of the roads of Bahrain, where a security man stopped them. The security man and his colleagues commenced scanning the spouses. Then one of them asked the husband: Is this your wife?
The man replied: Yes, she's my wife.
So the security man glanced at her and continued: Ughh! Your wife is ugly. Why have you married her?
The spouses were stunned by his attitude and by the extent of his despise, and they remained silent!!
Then, the security men began to laugh and deride them as the security man went on with his derision: Do you want to go?
And the citizen said: If you allow me to.
So the security man replied (laughing in a sly manner): I'll let you go on a certain condition.
The citizen then said: Here you go. What is it?
And the security man said: On condition that you spit in your wife's face!!!
