Last Gazan Female Captive: Wafa Only Few Days from Freedom
Palestinian homes have opened their doors to an unusual event in October 2011, as Hamas and the "Israeli" entity reached a Gilad Shalit swap deal in return for almost 1000 Palestinian prisoners.

Among the families celebrating this Palestinian victory is that of 26 year old Wafa Al Bis from the Jabalya camp, Northern the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, 7 female prisoners of the 1948 territories remain behind the bars of "Israeli" prisons as their names were excluded from the deal.

The inmates that will return to Gaza should first go to Egypt, where they are scheduled to cross into the coastal enclave via the Rafah border crossing.
Wafa's father says he is speechless, as no words can describe his happiness owing to the soon to be freedom of his daughter who was sentenced for 12 years of imprisonment.

Wafa's family including her father, were deprived from seeing her during the 6 past years of her detention. Not only that, but also they were not allowed from talking to her via phone, since she was in solitary confinement.
Captive Wafa suffers serious injuries and burns in almost 70% of her body. According to reports, she has been subject to treatment and surgery in her left hand in an "Israeli" hospital. Wafa's father also assured that despite the joy, still the families stand in solidarity with other families of more than 10 thousand Palestinian detainees remaining behind the bars.
Wafa al-Bis was accused of preparing for a self-sacrifice operation as part of the Al-Aqsa martyrs Brigades.

The "Israel" Prison Service Saturday overnight published the list of the first group of Palestinian prisoners, who are set to be released in exchange for captured "Israeli" soldier Gilad Shalit.

The list includes 477 prisoners expected to be freed on Tuesday.
The second stage of the swap, which includes 550 names, is expected to occur later this year.
