Imam Khamenei Receives Hanyieh: Iran to Always Stand by Palestine, Resistance

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that "the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the issue of Palestine as an Islamic issue."

In a meeting with head of Islamic Hamas movement in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh His Eminence reiterated that "Iran is sincere and steadfast regarding the issue of Palestine, and it will always stand by the Palestinian people and resistance groups."

"The recent victories in Palestine were partially responsible for the Islamic awakening in the region," Ayatollah Khamenei said clarifying that "undoubtedly, the accumulating sentiments of the region's peoples toward the cause of the Gaza Strip led to the sudden eruption of the volcano in the region."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that any move that weakens resistance will work against the future of Muslim nations.

He reiterated: "It is necessary to constantly guard against the infiltration of compromising elements into the resistance groups."

Addressing Haniyeh, Ayatollah Khamenei stated: "We do not have any doubts regarding your resistance and the people do not expect anything other than resistance from Palestinian Resistance."

For his part, Haniyeh expressed his gratitude for the support of the Iranian people and government, stating that "we consider the Iranian nation a strategic asset for Palestine."

The Palestinian Prime Minister added: "Liberating all Palestinian lands, insisting on resistance, rejecting peace talks, and insisting on the Islamic nature of the issue of Palestine are three main strategies that we pursue."

Confirming that "the Palestinian nation will definitely defeat the Zionist regime," the PM addressed the Supreme Leader by saying "just as you said our conditions are the same as those of Badr and Khaybar."
