Sheikh Qabalan Condemns Damascus Cleric’s Assassination, Terrorist Group Adopts Crime Qabalan offered deep condolences to the regime and Damascus-based Hawzas, urging Assad's authorities to crack down on the presumed killers in order to bring them to justice and exact a harsh penalty on them.
The Sheikh also urged the Syrian people to heed the sound of reason by renouncing terrorism and by talking to the head of the regime. He argued that terrorism must stop in the only Arab country which dared to stand up to the "Israelis" and their US supporters. According to media reports, Sayyed Alawi was killed by two unknown armed persons who opened fire on him in front of his house while heading for the Husseynieh.
He was taken to hospital right away but due to severe gunshot wounds, he passed away in the hospital.

Alawi is a father of two children and a religious Afghani activist who used to help families and individuals suffering from recent Syria unrest.
According to Syrian sources, the so-called Free Syrian Rebel Army declared on its website adopting the assassination.
