Iranian Army Official: Army Able to Intercept, Deflect Any Missile

Iran's top air defense Official Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli stressed Monday that "the country enjoys the capability to intercept and deflect any enemy missiles to redirect it towards new targets."
In an interview with Fars News Agency the Commander of Khatom al-Anbia Air Defense Base unveiled that "Iran's air defense unit has already switched on a project to develop systems which can deceive enemy missiles and it will put it into the operation when necessary."
"These systems will appear on the scene and do their tasks in time of threat," Esmayeeli confirmed, pointing out that "any incoming missile will be destroyed or redirected to hit a target which we specify before it could harm the holy land of Iran."
He further stated that "this is an electronic warfare capability by which we are the side who defines the program for the enemy missile."
