Zaspkin: Accusing Al-Qaida for Damascus Bombings Based on Info

The Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zaspkin unveiled Wednesday that "Moscow's accusation to "al-Qaida" for being behind the terrorist bombings in Damascus [last week] is based on information received from many sources."
In an interview with "an-Nahar" daily, Zaspkin said that "Syria is at crossroads."
"Many things depend on the implementation of UN envoy to Syria Kofi Annan's Plan, which remains the only chance in the current circumstances," he viewed.
The Russian ambassador also commented on Tripoli's recent clashes.
"These clashes are limited so far," he said, and pointed out that "no one wants to ignite sedition."
Zaspkin hailed the Lebanese government performance in this issue.
On "al-Qaida's" existence in Lebanon, he confirmed that the Lebanese judicial authorities are well aware of the facts.
Zaspkin supported the Lebanese efforts in fighting "al-Qaida".
