"Israeli" Soldier Killed, Palestinian Martyred on Gaza Border

A Palestinian resistant fighter succeeded Friday in killing an "Israeli" solider, near the 1948 Occupied Palestinian territories.
According to available details, the incident took place Friday at around 4 am, when the Palestinian, using the heavy fog covering the area, was able to reach the security fence, cut it and infiltrate into 1948 territories.
Once the Golani force scrambled to the area, the Palestinian man opened fire on the group before he was martyred.
An "Israeli" spokesperson's unit stressed that "the "IDF" will not tolerate any attempt to harm "Israeli" civilians or soldiers and will continue to fight any element which employs terror against "Israel"."
"The Hamas terror group is responsible for any such acts," the statement claimed.
Several hours later, a mortar shell fired from northern Gaza exploded in an open area in southern the Zionist entity. In parallel, Palestinian source reported that "Israeli" jets were flying over Gaza following the incident.
The Palestinians also reported that "Israeli" forces fired shells at several open areas east of Khan Younis. Flyovers and helicopter fire were reported in that area as well.
Palestinian witnesses reported hearing gunshots near Abassan, a border village in southern Gaza that is also close to the Egyptian border.
They said the "Israeli" forces set off smoke bombs to obscure the view as helicopters landed at the scene.
