Syria Dubs Diplomats of some Western Countries: Persona non Grata

The Syrian Foreign Ministry announced that Damascus expelled the ambassadors of some foreign and western countries, considering them: persona non grata.
According to the statement announced by Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Jihad al-Maqdisi, "some countries have recently declared heads of our diplomatic missions and members of our embassies persona non grata, and working on the principle of reciprocity, the Syrian Arab Republic decided to take immediate procedures."
In a list, the Foreign Ministry stated the persona non grata that included ambassadors and representatives from: the US, Britain, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, and Canada.
Also, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called upon the said countries to take the initiation to adopt the principle of equality, mutual respect, in addition to diplomacy; which represents an important tool in communication among countries.
