Recently, al-Sarsak joined the flock of hunger striking detainees, and now he has reached his 78th day of hunger strike, Reuters reported.
According to al-Sarsak's family and lawyer, his current term of detention ends on August 22. However; there is no guarantee that, like before, the term would be extended for further six months, Reuters added.
"The entire family and friends are afraid for Mahmoud's life and the worry is killing us," Mahmoud's older brother Emad said.

On this level, French and international activists in Paris have been occupying the French Football Federation since 11 am Tuesday.
These activists urged the leaders of their countries to support hunger-striking detainee Mahmoud al-Sarsak. They further condemned the "Israeli" unjust detention of Mahmoud; without trial or charges, in addition to prevention of appropriate medical care even from independent doctors, although his health status is deteriorating.
