China Rebuffs Foreign Military Intervention in Syria

China has strictly rejected any "foreign military intervention, or a change in the Syrian regime" to be a solution for the Syrian crisis.
On this level, the Chinese Permanent Representative at the UN, Li Baodong, asserted, "We resolutely oppose the solutions to the Syrian crisis through foreign armed intervention or any attempt to forcibly promote regime change."
"China stands ready to play its positive and constructive role in finding an early, peaceful and proper solution to the Syrian problem," Baodong further added.
Also, the Chinese Permanent Representative at the UN called upon all the Syrian sides to abide by UN Envoy Kofi Annan's 6-point peace plan, and work effectively upon it to stop violence, protect civilians, and launch political dialogue.
"China keeps an active role to realize a peaceful, comprehensive solution to the crisis in Syria," he added, reiterating his country's follow up of latest developments in Syria.
