Report: Houla Massacre Integral Part of US Imperialism Scheme
In an article entitled "Imperialism and the Houla massacre" published in the wsws.org (World Socialist Web Site), Alex Lantier stated that the investigations into the alleged massacre in Syria's Houla massacre were able to shatter the lies used by the US and its allies, to claim a necessity of a military intervention in Syria.
Lantier referred to the report published by the German daily, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), which revealed that the responsibility of the Syrian civilian deaths lies not with the Syrian army, but with the Syrian revels armed by the US against Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Moreover, he asserted that German daily's sources are drawn from the Syrian opposition itself, and not from the al-Assad regime. Lantier iterated that the FAZ reported described how the said revelation undermines the "rotten foundations of the US-led campaign for war with Syria."
In his article, Lantier screened the clear imperialism scheme of the US and its allies, which aims at intimidating Russia and Chine into abandoning their stance opposing the US intervention, ousting al-Assad, and then replacing him with a pro-US regime.
He added that on this level, the Houla massacre came as an integral part of the aforementioned campaign; as the incident came less than ten days after a revelation that the US was delivering weapons supplies to the Syrian opposition forces; funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Hereupon, the US hypocrisy is revealed; for while US diplomats are criticizing Russia for arming the al-Assad regime, the US's Arab allies "flood rebel guerillas with weapons", the article added.
Also, the article highlighted Washington's reliance on the American and European media's subservience and dishonesty.
