Iran's chief negotiator and Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili stated that Iran welcomes dialogue on the nuclear issue, and iterated that his country has always been open to talks and cooperation in this regard.

In an interview with English-speaking Russia Today TV (RT), Jalili referred to the upcoming round of talks in Moscow over the Iranian nuclear program, and stated, "We will look at this round of talks with optimism when the agreements reached in Istanbul and Baghdad will be respected. If we do see this kind of respect, we will then be able to view the negotiations in a positive light."
Elaborating on the talks, Jalili indicated that what should be discussed is a number of proposals put forward during the Baghdad talks; including 5 main ideas; 4 of which are related to the nuclear program, while the other is related to other areas.

Highlighting the major topics in the negotiations, Jalili noted, "Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has the capacities to cooperate in disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation, so these capacities should be used by the international community. Secondly, we expect that Iran's right to nuclear technologies, including uranium enrichment, will be recognized and respected. This is something that is clearly defined by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."
He believed that addressing these two issues will help advance the negotiations.
Regarding the cyber attacks recently witnessed by several Iranian nuclear facilities, Iran's SNSC Secretary reminded that his country's nuclear activities are under control of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and therefore IAEA surveillance cameras are a basic gadget.

"Why do some people commit subversive acts against a country involved in legitimate and peaceful activities? Shockingly enough, they openly admit that this is all their doing," he confirmed.
"This raises yet another question: why does the international community that claims to live under the rule of law accept a situation when all the rules are violated and countries seeking to exercise their legitimate rights are discriminated against," Jalili wondered.

On this level, he asserted that luckily enough, neither terror attacks nor cyber attacks were able to harm or stop the progress of the Iranian people.
"It is universally acknowledged that, in spite of all the conspiracies plotted against its nuclear activities, Iran has been able to continue its work in compliance with the NPT and IAEA requirements," he went on to say.
Concerning the latest escalating "Israeli" war rhetoric against Iran, Jalili indicated that these kinds of statements, namely threats of war, show that the "Zionist regime is keen to achieve its goals by capturing, invading, brandishing its military might."

"However, this regime is as weak as ever and its authority has faltered. The only thing that is clear is that the world is aware of its militarist and hawkish nature and that any steps taken by the regime are illegitimate. Still, the regime continues to operate on the wrong and illegitimate basis," he further told RT.
Underscoring the Iranian support to the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad, Jalili noted that among the issues brought up at the talks in Istanbul and Baghdad, are that Iran was prepared to discuss regional issues, including the situation in Bahrain and Syria.

Moreover, Jalili backed the Syrian people's demand for reforms and democracy, yet confirmed that all Syrian disputes and dilemmas should be resolved via internal dialogue, rebuffing any foreign interference. He also denounced the ongoing Western-backed terrorist attacks.
"It would be unacceptable to supply arms or support terrorists and so on. It will only result in more casualties among civilians and bloodshed. This is the wrong path to success," he reiterated.
