Al-Assad: Syria in State of War, All Capabilities to Secure Victory

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad announced Tuesday that his country is in "a state of war."
Al- Assad insisted that "when one is in a state of war, all our policies and capabilities must be used to secure victory."
Al-Assad made this statement upon addressing his new government and added that "all sides and all sectors need to be directed at winning this war."
He has stated that the West "takes and never gives and this has been proven at every stage," and added that "we want good relations with all countries but we must know where our interests lie."
"Apparently, the problem was with the West only, while the majority of the world want to build relations with us and with others, but throughout decades, we were seeking to boost our economic ties with those who colonized us directly or indirectly," he viewed.
The Syrian President called upon the government to boost relations with the East, from Russia into the countries of the East, the South which means the Latin America and Africa through signing agreements with these states and to help the private sector build a real relation with them.
In parallel, al-Assad referred to the big responsibility assumed by the new government in light of the current condition Syria is passing through.
"We need to possess the spirit of challenge and responsibly in order to become the government of challenging difficulties," he confirmed and pointed out that " the new government must work to achieve the aspirations of citizens, especially that this government comes after the new constitution."
