Women Awakening Conference Kicks off, Ahmadinejad: "Israel" Base of Global Hegemon

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the "Israeli" regime as the base of the global hegemony, emphasizing that all revolutionary movements must be geared against the Zionist regime.
In the opening session of the "1st International Conference on Women and Islamic Awakening in the Iranian capital, Tehran, he viewed that "this regime is the base of dominant powers."
"As long as the hegemonic order and the Zionist regime are in existence, nations would not see peace," Ahmadinejad said during his Tuesday's speech.
In parallel, the Iranian president accused "the US regime of being the world's most totalitarian and dictatorial regime."
He further stressed that "the Zionist regime makes decisions on behalf of the United States and makes policy for them."
"The US image is damaged when the nations resist against it. American politics never change, only the faces (J.W Bush with Barak Obama) change," he clarified.
Making an attack over the European Union members, Ahmadinejad added that European people don't believe and trust in their governments. They stage rallies and were cracked down by their governments and nobody hears them.
In a part of his speech about democracy, Ahmadinejad said that the same situation is in South America and Asia. "There is no real democracy in the world and it is time to change all political and economic measures and calculations in the world," he said.
The Head of the Islamic Republic stressed that "to achieve this goal, nations should be awakened."
Insisting that the Islamic Awakening is key to fundamental developments in the global arena, he said, "Nothing [new] will happen in the world unless people are awakened."
On the effective role of women in social developments around the world, the Iranian president said, "if women are determined to make a change in some community, something will definitely transpire and this is something that Iran has witnessed."
More than 1500 female researchers and scholars as well as political and social activists from more than 80 countries are taking part in the two-day conference in Tehran.
Senior Iranian and foreign officials including Ali Akbar Velayati, the secretary-general of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening and an advisor to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Commander of Iran's Basij Force Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Naqdi and Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim are also attending the conference.
Earlier in January, Tehran hosted the 2nd International Youth and Islamic Awakening, attracting some 1500 scholars and experts from 73 countries.
