Annan Arrives in Moscow, to Meet Putin, Lavrov on Syrian Crisis

The UN-Arab Special envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, is to arrive in the Russian capital Moscow on Monday, where he is scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to Russia's ITAR-TASS News Agency, a Russian diplomatic source stated that the discussions between Annan and Lavrov will revolve around the situation in Syria, and the prospects of settling the crisis.
Also, sources from the Presidential Kremlin Palace confirmed in a statement that Annan will hold a meeting with the country's President, Vladimir Putin, also to discuss the situation in Syria.
The Kremlin statement also added that the upcoming meeting aims at guaranteeing Russia's support to Annan's peace plan in Syria. On this level, the statement reiterated Russia's belief that [Annan's peace] plan, is the only way towards solving the internal Syrian problems.
