Sheikh al-Nemr Enters Open-Ended Hunger Strike

The Saudi "al-Sharq Human Rights" Center stated that the relatives of Sheikh Nemr Baqer al-Nemr were able to visit him, and were summoned by the security authorities to see Sheikh al-Nemr in a military hospital.
Sheikh al-Nemr informed his relatives that he is in good health to calm the popular movement, as people supporting him poured to the streets after receiving news that his health status had deteriorated.
The Human Rights Center express worries regarding news stating that Sheikh al-Nemr is being viciously tortured; for according to one of his visiting relatives, Sheikh al-Nemr showed bruises on his face, and two of his front teeth were extracted.
Also, the prominent Saudi Sheikh entered an open-ended hungers strike the moment he was arrested, but the Saudi authorities force feed him via a nutritious tube.
On this level, "al-Sharq Human Rights" Center called upon all the lawyers and those involved in the human rights affairs around the world, to urge the Saudi authorities into stopping their arbitrary violation of the detainee's rights.
Moreover, the center urged the "Médecins Sans Frontières" [Doctors Without Borders] Organization to request visiting Sheikh al-Nemr, in order to check on his health situation.
