As mourners flooded to the Syrian Embassy in the Russian capital Moscow, members of the Syrian community, students, and pro-Syrian Arabs and Russians gathered in front of the embassy. They all came to deliver wreaths of roses and to console the martyrdom of the Syrian leaders.

The Syrian ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad received delegations of mourners to the top leaders Rajha, Shawkat, Turkmani, and Ikhtiyar. Russian army comrades were also there.

"In the eighties, Syria signed a treaty of cooperation with the Soviet Union, and I am satisfied today that Russia and our leadership represented by President Vladimir Putin is committed to the treaty and its items," he highlighted.
Kubiev also said "I am pleased that the Syrian people are united and stand behind their leadership and army, which started dealing with the attacks on its country as any loyal national army would do to protect its homeland."
"This brave army is responding to crimes committed against Syria and its people and will eliminate all armed groups from their root," the General emphasized.
For his part, ambassador Haddad stressed in front of the crowds "We must inform everyone that all these criminal acts will not deter us. Our will won't fade away in face of terrorism," pointing out "we must all know that Syria is facing terrorism today in all its forms and will not retreat from facing it."
"God willing, we are all ready for martyrdom to defend Syria no matter what happens," Haddad confirmed.

In parallel, Roman Kolganov spoke on behalf of the Russian veterans. He is the commander of the control room in the Air Defense Unit of the Regiment 220. "To these militants I say, you aren't worth the attention you are seeking. It is better if you direct your weapons to fight your Western and lagging Arab masters who supply you with arms and finance."

Similarly, the representative of the Committee of Solidarity with Syria Oleg Amin hailed the Russian position in supporting Damascus.
"We fully support the noble attitude of the Russian leadership and its foreign policy, particularly the firm position of President Putin," he said.
Speaking on behalf of the Syrian community, Dr. Wasel Jumaili said "the cohesion and solidarity with our military as well as our understanding to the unveiled goals of the plot resemble the greatest loyalty to our martyrs and the shortest route to victory."

Meanwhile, participants in the gathering praised the historic positions of the Syrian leadership represented by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Moreover, the Syrian community launched in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students a series of events of solidarity with the decisive decision taken by the Syrian leadership to cleanse the country from conspirators and all who would agitate strife and terrorism.
