"Attenuate or even destabilize a target society, even a nation, and gradually shake and isolate its indigenous culture, customs, and creeds to replace them with imported beliefs and drag it into failure without conflict or use of force"; this is the equation adopted by the US administration and the West against the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, also the Resistance axis and the entire Arab and Muslim World after its military campaigns have proved major failure.

During the 3rd graduation ceremony of the sons and daughters of the Resistance martyrs, Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah suggested that following the "Israelis" defeat in 2006, they had changed tactics to focus on trying to destroy Hizbullah through a "soft war" to turn Arabs against each other.
Soft War: Draining Minds…Changing Entire Societies Referring to what he called the "Western effect," Sayyed Nasrallah said pro-"Israeli" forces were seeking to sow discord between Muslims.
"This is a war that is being led by the American administration and the "Israeli" enemy is only a fighter in it," he said.

In the details, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated "Today in the media one cannot find intellectual debates but rather mockery and insulting of principles. When you say ‘jihad', ‘principles', ‘resistance', ‘prisoners' and ‘liberated', it all turns into mockery."
"There are media outlets and satellite television channels that make light of the principles of the resistance and martyrdom, and there are websites and writers whose job is to insult [those] principles,"
According to analysts, Sayyed Nasrallah has tackled the issue of Soft War, its tools and effects in detail, after he had already won the battle through fixating the resistance society strategy of sacrifices and martyrdom.

Strategic analyst Retired brigadier General Amine Hoteit for his part told moqawama.org that "War against an enemy is either hard or soft, hence military or cultural".

According to Hotiet, the US assaults during the Gulf War, the invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq, even Libya to a certain extent, also the 2006 "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon was all an implementation to a hard military war. Yet, the defeat "Israel" received from Hizbullah in 2006's Divine Victory led the West to adopt a Soft war tactics.

In the "Power Game", said Hoteiet, Soft War becomes critically needed when one or more of these three crucial points take place:

1- The hard tactics fail to fulfill the goals.

2- A model exists OUTSIDE the global powers consensus Umbrella (The United States, The Zionist Entity, The West, and their lackeys around the world).

3- The technological and human ability (put in a Soft War context) of a certain state to intervene in such a way that leads to the same outcome or even a better outcome than that of Hard War, hence military intervention.

Also, the process constitutes of five stages until the war ripens:

1- Intellectual, psychological and Media thrust to convince the target society it has to abandon its intellectual system.

2- Preparing the ground for reviving historical conflicts and differences which constitute the "flammable" material; the spark to start a conflict or war.

3- Strife is sown on the basis of historical findings, internal conflict begins.

4- It is the phase of self-erosion. Leaders of Soft War have one major mission, prevent any easing of tension, sow more sedition and division among the parties; hence allowing self-destruction.

5- Now the target society is eroded and worn, the soft war administrator prevents this weakened society from possessing arms and tools of defense, and turns it into a lackey society with imported creeds and thoughts.

To accomplish the mission, the soft power administrator would need a strong media outlet to perform brainwash, strong financial capabilities, and the presence of major elements to destroy the society on the inside (strife, conflict, propaganda, distortion, etc).
Soft War: Draining Minds…Changing Entire Societies
In the case of the Islamic Resistance, the analyst assured Sayyed Nasrallah had noted three important things.
"Sayyed Nasrallah noted the presence of war against the Resistance society which decays the state just like cancer does to the body. He also enlisted some of the major Soft war tools. He finally launched an indirect call for all to get involved in a defense-strategic battle in face of Soft War, as it is even more dangerous than military war."

Sayyed Nasrallah has won the war already, as the school of resistance keeps graduating mujahideen and martyrs that refuse to subjugate to foreign interference or meddling, have steely belief and know they will only achieve victories.
