The US Naval Forces Central Command Commander Vice Admiral John Miller's short visit to Lebanon raised questions about the significance and objectives of this particular timing in light of the regional developments.

The US uninvited guest's visit coincided with the visit of Secretary General of the Iranian National Security Council Saeed Jalili .
"Development and Liberation" MP Qassem Hashem stressed that "Miller's visit is reprehensible and suspicious in all its measurements and dimensions."
In an interview with al-Intiqad, the MP stated that "US always seeks its own interest as well as that of "Israel"."
Miller’s Visit to Lebanon Unwelcomed, Seeks Support for He further recalled the suspicious and hostile US role in all the regional and Lebanese developments, citing the recent visits of US Senators Joseph Lieberman and John McCain to the north and their efforts to create a buffer zone there.
"Washington never sought good for Lebanon," Hashem confirmed and pointed out that "away from rumors, the cooperation between the Lebanese and US armies is merely related to lies."
The MP highlighted that "America wants to protect the security of the Zionist entity especially that the talk of arming the Lebanese army is just slogans."
"The US administration seeks to impose its control over the countries of the region through to dominating its decisions and policies that match with "Israel"," he clarified.
In parallel, Hashem was not surprised that "March14" team on top of which is the Future Party, didn't denounce the visit of the American official.
"These are hostages of the American and Western project in the region," he stressed and noted that "Miller visited Lebanon in order to pump a dose of support for this team after the great loss they suffered in the local arena."
"It is no longer a secret that toppling the Syrian regime with any price is Washington's main concern," the MP said.

For his part, the "Syrian Social Nationalist Party" bloc MP Marwan Fares emphasized that "Miller's visit isn't the first of its kind to the Americans."
"It is an extension of the US administration's usual performance in the region," he clarified and viewed that " the US official's visit lies in the context of inciting against the government and raising the morale of "March 14"forces after their failure in their bets and plots."

The MP, in an interview with al-Intiqad, neglected the importance of the arms which Washington alleges that it will provide the Lebanese Army with.
As he asserted that "this weapon will be rusty and scrap," Fares mentioned that "there is a US decision not to equip the Lebanese Army in order to protect the security of the occupying entity."

On the timing of the visit, the MP estimated that "Miller's visit comes as a response to Jalili's visit to Beirut, especially as Washington seeks to make Lebanon a platform to target the neighboring countries."
Faris warned of the "frequent visits of US officials who only seek to drag Lebanon into the Syrian storms."
He urged "the Lebanese people to realize the awareness of the dangers of this move."
"The Syrian state will stand steadfast in face of plots woven against it," the MP concluded.
