According to the statement, Moscow is concerned about reports from Damascus that Syrian and international journalists have been attacked by illegal armed groups increasingly often. This comes after several attacks on media stuff in Syria.
On Tuesday, armed groups kidnapped Iranian "al-Alam" TV reporter Ahmad Stof.
Similarly, a film crew of the Ikbariya pro-governmental television channel was seized in the city of Al-Tall last Friday, while the head of a department of the SANA Syrian news agency was murdered in a Damascus suburb on Saturday.
