NAM Summit Spokesman:27 Head of states to Attend Global Summit

The two-day ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) has convened in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
More than 100 countries are partaking in the NAM meeting which kicked off at the expert level in Tehran on Sunday.

At the opening ceremony of the NAM expert-level meeting, Iran assumed the rotating presidency of the movement for three years. Egypt's Ambassador to the United Nations Mootaz Khalil formally handed over the presidency to Iran.
The foreign ministers of the NAM member states have been arriving in Tehran to attend the summit since Sunday.
The meeting of the heads of state and government will open on Thursday with an inaugural speech by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Spokesman of the 16th NAM meeting Ramin MehmanParast said the draft document of the heads-of-state summit was confirmed by all participants in the NAM senior experts meeting in Tehran Monday.
According to the Islamic republic news agency, Mehman-Parast stated that "the initial draft of the XIV NAM Summit document was inclusive of 688 articles in three chapters, which was surveyed by two committees of the summit, namely the political and the economic committees of the NAM Senior Experts."
Mehmanparast pointed out that "the Secretary General of the Senior Experts Conference would deliver the draft prepared by them to the NAM Foreign Ministers Conference."
He also reiterated that "the presence of very high ranking delegations at the NAM Conference is all by itself very noticeable, and promises that we would be witnesses to greater activities of the NAM members in accordance with the initial founders of the movement in the framework of the proposed document."
"On this basis, we hope reforms would take place in the process of the NAM activities so that from now on this movement would also support respecting the territorial integrity of the countries," the spokesman said.
Mehmanparast expressed hope, "the prepared document at the 16th conference after being confirmed by the heads of the NAM member countries would be turned into a document that would during the management of the Islamic Republic of Iran and relying on the participation of the entire member countries, lead to the manifestation of the entire demands of the NAM members."
He referred to the motto of the ongoing conference, "Sustainable Peace under the Umbrella of World Management" pointing out, "We hope this motto would be materialized. We have always been stressing the need for establishment of peace and justice at global level, and this would be achieved only based on public participation of all countries and ending the totalitarian tendencies of a few world powers."
Mehmanparast, announced that according to the latest news, till now the presence of 27 presidents, 2 kings, 8 prime ministers, 2 speaker of parliament, 9 vice-president and 6 special envoy from the 120 countries participating in the summit has been confirmed.
