Suleiman Meets Imam Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, Officials in NAM:Resistance Only Solution

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei received Thursday the Lebanese President Michel Suleiman in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Suleiman is participating in the Non-Aligned Movement summit held in the Islamic Republic.
During the meeting, Imam Khamenei stressed the importance of national dialogue between all Lebanese factions and reiterated his support for the national dialogue initiative headed by President Suleiman.
Suleiman Meets Imam Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, Officials in NAM:Resistance Only Solution His Eminence further confirmed the necessity to distance Lebanon from negative repercussions of regional events, and put the concepts of non-alignment and self-dissociation into better practice.
The discussions also tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries in various sides.
In parallel, Suleiman met his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The two presidents surveyed suggested solutions for the Syrian crisis, as well as the cooperation of concerned powers to find the right resolution away from violence and foreign intervention.
In parallel, Suleiman met with head of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas. The two men discussed the bilateral relations, in particular the conditions of Palestinians in Lebanon, in addition to the situation in the region.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Lebanese President and Egyptian President Mohammad Mursi held talks over the Lebanese-Egyptian bilateral ties and the means to enhance inter-Arab solidarity.

In addition, Suleiman met with the head of the Jordanian delegation, Prince Hassan Bin Talal who resides over an institution concerned with dialogue between different cultures and civilizations and asked for Lebanon's help due to the country's unique fabric which made such dialogue possible.
