One-Man War

Sumaya Saleh
It is easy to stumble across individuals who are disillusioned by the forceful occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people by the Zionist entity.
Sadly, this disillusionment does not constitute strong enough to hinder any efforts against such dehumanization and animosity. It is quite paradoxical, if not contradicting, coming from persons who apparently have the will, but not the way.
When one is offered an effective way to repel such hypocrisies they tend to laugh it off as though "it won't make a difference". It has been one of the simplest yet most effective methods of influencing any entity of a capitalist society throughout history, yet people underestimate the power of the boycott.
The Zionist entity enjoys a solid and flourishing economy, which contributes to the development and advancement of weaponry and armaments, used against juxtaposing asymmetrical opponents- like women and children.
When discussing the Palestinian issue down under, distance tends to play as the common denominator of excuses preventing any action against the Zionist entity. I offer these passionate persons a simple solution of boycotting companies which contribute to the flourish of the "Israeli" economy. "As if it would make a difference"!
This is where the war begins! It is a battle within a battle. Reading the labels and being aware of the surrounding consumer market is deemed "overboard" or "tiring". The first battle comes by withstanding the pressure and temptations to "get over it" by people who do not believe in the power of will and perseverance. This is only a sheer battle however.
Abstaining from specific brands because of their contributions, in any way, to the "Israeli" economy is your true declaration of war against the illegitimate Zionist entity, a declaration of independence in a highly consumerist capitalist global society.
By overlooking the consequences of our routinized daily consumerist practices, we continue to compromise in our fight for the Palestinian cause.

Agreed. . .
You are so right! We should stop supporting companies that defend and fund Israel. I wish we can stop the U.S. from sending hard-working American tax dollars to support Israel!!- Related News
