Ahmadinejad: Western Sanctions All-Out War, NAM’s Success Reflects Pressures’ Ineffectiveness

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned Tuesday that the western sanctions against Tehran mean an all-out war.
"It is an all-out, hidden, heavy war," Ahmadinejad said during a TV interview Tuesday night.
He further stated that "the US and EU sanctions against the Iranian oil and banking sectors have caused problems." However, he underlined, "We are going ahead, and God willing we will succeed."
Ahmadinejad said his administration is removing the barriers, pledging that the enemies of Iran would not achieve their goals.
In July, the European Union banned oil imports from Iran, just after the US enacted tough measures against Iran's central bank. The West's sanctions are meant to press Iran to give up its nuclear rights.
Ahmadinejad also repeated his previous statements that Iran is a friend to the American people and other nations - except "Israel".
"We have no argument with Americans. We like them like other nations," he said, and added that "ruling groups in the US have worked against relations with Iran."
In parallel, the Iranian President hailed his country's success in hosting the 16th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) despite western propaganda, and said that Iran will seek new organizational structures for the NAM.
Ahmadinejad praised Iran's success in holding the 16th Summit of the NAM despite Western propaganda, adding that during the summit "Iran renewed its friendships with many nations."
"The infrastructures are required for the fulfillment of sustainable peace with global participation," he added.
"One of our major missions is creating structures to meet the demands of NAM member states on the international political scene," Ahmadinejad added.
The Iranian president noted that Tehran is in favor of the participation of all countries in international affairs to fight corruption, which is created by the monopoly of power.
"In any conflict, at least one of the warring parties is fighting for power and hegemony," Ahmadinejad stated.
