US Warns "Israel" from Attacking Iran, Clinton: No for Setting Deadlines

Britain dispatched a senior envoy to "Israel" in recent weeks to warn the Zionist entity's Prime Minister against a unilateral attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
According to "Israeli" Haaretz daily, "Israel's" PM Benjamin Netanyahu's office and the British embassy in Tel Aviv refused to comment on the report, which cited an unnamed "Israeli" source.
The daily said the envoy arrived in "Israel" around two weeks ago and "delivered a stern message from the British Prime Minister David Cameron against an uncoordinated "Israeli" strike on Iran at this time."
The report said "British concern about an "Israeli" strike on Iran had been heightened by Netanyahu's failure, during a phone conversation between the two leaders... in July, to provide clear and precise answers to Cameron's questions about Israel's intentions on the Iranian front."
The newspaper further added that "the envoy also met with "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak, as well as "Israeli" security and diplomatic officials, telling them Britain believes there is time for diplomatic measures, including sanctions, to work."
Earlier, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stressed that Washington is not setting deadlines for Iran and still considers negotiations as by far the best approach with the Islamic Republic.
Asked if the Obama administration will lay out sharper red lines for Iran or state explicitly the consequences of failing to negotiate a deal with world powers by a certain date, Clinton said, "We're not setting deadlines."
In a clear response to "Israeli" calls for US to join a military action against Tehran, Clinton said: "They're more anxious about a quick response because they feel that they're right in the bull's-eye, so to speak," Clinton said. "But we're convinced that we have more time to focus on these sanctions, to do everything we can to bring Iran to a good-faith negotiation."
