The "Israeli" occupation forces staged wide military exercises in Shebaa farms that involved the use of live ammunition, air force, tanks and artillery.
According to the National News Agency, "Israeli" forces carried out intensive foot and mechanized patrols along the border line.
It further added that the sound of 155 mm and 175 mm artillery shelling could be clearly heard in the southern parts of occupied Shebaa farms.
These exercises occurred amid intensive flights of "Israeli" jets and helicopters that hovered over Shabaa farms and adjacent areas.
Earlier on Wednesday, the "Israeli" army on Wednesday staged a surprise drill on the northern border, sources reported.
The exercise was not previously announced, but the military said it had been scheduled.
Military sources said the drill began with soldiers being drafted from their homes, after which they were dispatched by air to the Golan Heights bordering Syria.
The drill was to end with a live fire exercise later in the day, sources reported.
