Multiple Events in Sacred Defense Week, Imam Khamenei: Martyrs’ Sacrifices Key To Victor

The "Sacred Defense Week" represents a memory that means a lot to the Iranian people.
Thirty years ago, the former Iraqi regime headed by Saddam Hussein launched what was known later as "the imposed war" against the Islamic Republic.
Supported by the West, US, and the Arab regimes, the toppled Iraqi leadership sought to extinguish the emerging Islamic revolution.
Today, as the war against the Islamic Republic continues economically, politically, scientifically and electronically, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei hailed " the heroic epics of martyrs and sacrifices during the war."
"These sacrifices as well as the steadfastness and perseverance of the Iranian nation are the basic symbol for the Mujahedeen victory in the battlefields," His Eminence confirmed.
As he praised the key role of the late martyrs, Imam Khamenei stressed that "the names who have sacrificed their lives during the imposed war are still fresh in everyone's minds."
"This comes as the blood of the Holy martyrs resemble the greatest heroic epics to uphold the word of truth," His Eminence said and noted that "these sacrifices form the key to achieving victories."
Imam Khamenei further confirmed that "the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution sacrificed all their precious stuff as well as all what they owned and granted everything they had because they were free from physical constraints."
"This gave them the motivation and strength to sacrifices that became the title of pride and dignity of their families," the Leader underscored.
Meanwhile, events of the "Sacred Defense Week" continued in all Iranian provinces through educational activities, exhibitions, museums and visits to the previous war front lines, which turned out to pilgrimage sites to thousands of Iranians and families of martyrs. They simply wanted to watch, from the closest points, the depth of US and Western hatred to Islam.
They also sought to examine how the eight years imposed war turned the Islamic Republic stronger by depending on its power.
Among the striking events were the display of Zilzal, Qiam, Shhahab, Qadar, and air defense systems of Sayyad and Sam 6 in addition to radars displayed at multiple exhibitions opened in front of people who expressed their admiration for the military capabilities of their country.
The present of such missiles and allowing people to see them assure people and increase their confidence in the defense capabilities of their country and the ability of their forces to retaliate any armed aggression.
