Al-Intiqad Examines Wreck in Qudsiyah after Terrorist Attacks, Residents Express Fury

Damascus- al-Intiqad
As soon as "the Syrian Arab Army" declared Qudsiyah in Rural Damascus was clear again, its residents saw the buildings, main roads, and shops wrecked. Not only had the terrorist strikes made the residents hurriedly evacuate their places, but also they shocked the returning residents.
Shocked Residents
Touring some quarters and roads of Qudsiyah, the correspondent of al-Intiqad online newspaper met some residents.

Lying near Barada River, Qudsiyah used to be one of the most beautiful and momentous regions of Rural Damascus. But now its houses and shops were horribly wrecked, the residents expressed.
As to this issue, Muhammad al-Oubani said to al-Intiqad, "I couldn't believe what I saw in al-Ahdath Quarter and "ath-Thawra Road": burned buildings and shops, and so much demolition - as if mobs of barbarians had been in Qudsiyah!" Al-Oubani then added, "I ask "the Syrian Arab Army" to keep clearing the other regions of Qudsiyah and to show the armed combatants no mercy."
For her part, Om Yusuf, a resident of "Tal'et al-Ahdath Quarter", said, "Our house was robbed and burned, but we do not know who did it. We've lost everything, but we thank God that we're still safe."
Robbed, Burned, Demolished
Many families in Qudsiyah experienced the same as al-Oubani and Om Yusuf. The armed combatants burned over 100 houses. Many shops were robbed, too. As for the houses left unburned, they were robbed; expensive electric and electronic devices like refrigerators, washing machines, and laptops were stolen.
Hereupon, the residents of Qudsiyah, especially the ones living on "ath-Thawra Road", "al-Ahdath Quarter", "al-Khayateen Quarter", and "Qudsiyah Square", were infuriated over the incidents which had gone on in their town.
They blamed the Qatari princes, Saudi Arabian kings, and Turkish government for arming the combatants.

While going around the place in Qudsiyah, the correspondent of al-Intiqad realized a significant number of residents were on their way back home. Sign of shock and fury masked their faces as they saw so much wreck like they'd never seen before.

Shelters
Sources of "the Arab Syrian Red Crescent Organization" informed al-Intiqad, "The suburbs of Qudsiyah have lately been shelter to the migrants from Qudsiyah.

A school was turned into shelter in "al-Jazeera" suburbs; there, the organizations of "the Red Crescent" and "the Red Cross" took charge of offering humanitarian aids to migrants. Some other migrants, however, rented apartments or made temporary stays at their relatives' houses.
