53 Old Yahya Skaf: A Live Issue Waiting Truthful Pledge, Resistance Guns

Fadi Mansour
Yahya Skaf, was born in December 15 1959 in the Northern Lebanese town of Bhanine [Menyeh]. As a young man, Skaf joined the Palestinian resistance fighters in face of the occupying entity.
After training in camps of the Palestinian revolution, he participated in a number of military operations, after receiving a number honoring medals from his coaches and leaders.
Time passed. And the "Israeli" Commandos operation that led to the martyrdom of the three Palestinian leaders Kamal Adwan , Kamal Nasser, and Mohammed Najjar, was a milestone in the life of Skaff.
Joined by his fellow resistance fighters, the young men vowed revenge from the brutal enemy. To them , a qualitative operation inside the Zionist entity was the best response.
On 11 March 1978, the resistance woman-fighter Dalal Moghrabe headed the operation that led to her martyrdom and most of her fellows. However, Skaf was injured and captured behind the "Israeli" bars.
Since then, "Israel" denies the man's presence inside its prisons, without allowing any information to be leaked on his situation.
On his 53rd anniversary, Skaf's family lit 53 candles as his family and friends gathered inside his parents' house.
Meanwhile, Skaf's family renewed their hope that "Yahya and all the prisoners in the Zionist jails will be released into light after a while."
They also voiced confidence that the Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's pledge to release all prisoners will be soon accomplished.
"We are people who do not leave our prisoners behind bars," the family retreated Sayyed Nasrallah's words.
Earlier, the family released a statement in which it confirmed its continuous solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in the "Israeli" prisons and pointed out that "their release will come sooner or later, through the resistance's guns."
"With great hope, the commission and the families of prisoners wait the resistance fighters vow of freeing the prisoners from the clutches of the Zionist entity," the statement read.
In parallel, the Chairman of the Committee Jamal Skaff, Yahya's brother, received a telegram from the Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in which he hoped that "all pour prisoners inside the "Israeli" jails be soon released."
