US-Russian Relations Need Work, Actual Employment

Nidal Hmedeh - Paris
Diplomatic sources cited the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov as implicating that the US is lying as to the Syrian crisis, stating, "America says one thing then does another."
This Russian talk about US President Barack Obama's Administration undoubtedly dominates the stance between the two countries regarding crises and unsolved issues. Issues include the missile shield, the US extension in Central Asian countries, the Iranian nuclear file and the Syrian crisis.
The US Secretary of State John Kerry visited the Russian capital Moscow to deliberate the Syrian crisis and met his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov then waited hours to be received by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On this note, sources in Paris stated, "The US side made sure to assure the Russian side of its honesty through officials from the US Homeland Security and the White House as well as the Secretary of State. By this, all forces in Washington would be present in the visit and the follow-up meetings, and consequently no party could object or wash their hands from the visit's results and agreements."
The US-Russian agreement still looks immature, although matters seem more serious this time, according to an Arab diplomatic source. The source mentioned, "The five member states in the Security Council are concerned of the Syrian crisis expanding to neighboring countries, especially Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. This drove the US to ask Qatar to lay low regarding the Syrian crisis."
"This came in parallel to France's Minister of War declaring maximum security alert in France due to French security intelligence learning that al-Qaeda-affiliated groups are preparing to execute operations inside French territories. The next day, The French Minister of Foreign Affairs requested al-Nusra Front in Syria to be placed on the terrorist list, which is considered a qualitative development especially that it was dissociated from Qatar in this regard, and although France receives Syrian opposition figures directly in contact with funders of al-Nusra Front."
In this context, a Syrian opposition figure stated, "Both the US and Russian parties will seek to bring perspectives together in a conference to be held in Geneva during the first week of June, in which both parties will agree upon principles of a political solution, holding a transitory phase in Syria and determining a date for the presidential elections under an international supervision."
"Russians deal with the Syrian President's issue with an approach of non-submission. Countries that did not attend the Geneva 1 Accord, namely Iran, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, must attend, while Qatar will attend because it is the current President of the Arab League. As for Turkey, they will find a way for it to attend."
This cautious optimism followed the "Israeli" raid on Damascus and Western countries' concern from an Iranian intervention in Syria according to Parisian sources.
However, the main result remains in sincere intentions and real execution that would take years of hard work to stabilize after two and a half years of a devastating war.
