When Americanized People Talk About Sovereignty and Partnership

Abdul Hussein Shbeeb
Why did the former Lebanese prime minister, Fouad Saniora, and the former Security General of the Arab league, Amr Moussa, write a common article about Yemen which got published in the same day by many prominent Arab Eastern and Khaliji newspapers? In the article, they warned about the danger of the disintegration of Yemen on the Arabian security.
This step is noteworthy for several reasons: firstly the afore-mentioned personalities are known to be America's faithful men in the Middle East and have notable hostile attitudes towards axis resistance forces and countries. Secondly, their article reveals great hatred towards the basic component of the Yemeni people which are the Ansarullah Houthi fighters.
Third of all, they are exhorting the international Security Council on intervening in Yemen, in addition to activating the Arab Joint Defense Treaty and forming an Arab military power which is internationally supported by Security Council.
We have no idea of how Lebanese and Egyptian individuals give themselves permission to make decisions on behalf of the Yemeni people. They are making decisions as to what should happen in Yemen. They are getting themselves involved in the affairs of a people that have their own homeland, political forces and leaders that have all signed the Peace and Partnership treaty.
Yemeni forces have also launched a new political stage far from any foreign tutelage especially that of the Gulf which Sanyoura and Amr are pleading for, despite the fact that Oman, an influential country and Yemen's neighbor has cancelled it and called for a new approach of the Yemeni condition which admits the recent developments.
The ghost of Hizbullah and Iran are the main reason behind the 2 men's exposure of the Yemeni facts. That is why they changed the topic immediately to the central danger that the Houthis impose on the Arab, Gulf and Egyptian security. According to them, Houthis are close to Saudi Arabia and are now along the Red Sea coast and are extremely near Bab el-Mandeb. In this situation, Sanyoura and Moussa are alarmed that Iran will take the opportunity to take control of the basic international oil trade as it is already in control of Hurmuz strait. Also its Houthi friends are in control of Bab el-Mondub.
As Iran is the opponent in their eyes, it is inevitable to appeal to the international community instead of the Yemeni society just as Fouad el Saniora did during the Israeli July war on Hizbullah in 2006. This was done through Saniora's adherence to the suggestion of the multi-national force and Chapter 7 along with stripping the resistance of its weapons as a condition to stop the war.
Saniora and Moussa relied on Yemenis that they know, in presenting their information and explanations. However, some of their Yemeni friends whom have a high status in Yemen today took a glance at the article and immediately mocked the imagination and suggestions of these 2 persons. The Yemenis wondered whether Saniora and Moussa wanted to compensate for their disappointments during the July war by copying their ideas of resolutions back then and using them in the Yemeni situation today.
Of course Sanyura and Moussa's ideas are not new by any chance. Since the first day of the victory of Yemen's revolution in the twenty first of September and after Ansarullah Houthis became the basic political and military power and the controlling force in Yemen, similar articles were published in many Gulf newspapers. Most notably are: the Saudi newspapers such as: Okaz, al-Watan, Ashark al-Awsat, and al-Hayat, in addition to Kuwaiti newspaper "al-Siyasa", and Emirati newspaper al-Bayan. Also, there are other newspapers which tried to portray the shouts of the leaders of that region after the popular and ethnic majority qualified Abd al Malik Bader el-Deen al Houthi as their leader.
Not only that, but the Yemeni people also entrusted him to become their spokesman and the person who will achieve their legitimate and fair demands. Moreover, Abdulmalik al-Houthi is now described by some of the hostile media by "the spiritual leader of Yemen".
These articles held the signatures of the most famous writers and editors of some of the aforementioned newspapers along with some others. Those newspapers revealed the major shock of those writers as to what the Yemeni people was able to achieve in addition to their contempt towards the Yemeni people. Abdulmalik al-Houthi believes that those writers find that the great and poor Yemeni people do not deserve to get their ambitions achieved.
In order to disrupt the Yemeni people's strategic accomplishments, they found no other way than to introduce involve Iran and refer to it as the external sponsor and instigator for that "conspiracy" which led to the fall of Sana'a in only 3 nights. In addition, the American-Gulf General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar ran away to an anonymous place before being smuggled to Saudi Arabia after he is now wanted for justice by the Yemeni authorities. A sample of those articles is almost completely similar to what Fouad al-Sanyura and Amr Moussa are pointing out to.
Abdulrahman al-Rashed , is the General Manager of al-Arabiya News Channel which has been holding a media war for a while now against Ansarullah movement. The channel also put its conflict with "al-Jazeera" temporarily aside in order to get along and coordinate together their media attacks against Ansarullah movement.
The aforementioned journalist who is also the person who makes the basic decisions at "al Sharek al Awsat" newspaper [the twin-written of al-Arabiya] is known for his proximity to the decision-making centers in Saudi Arabia as well for his diverse external relations. He reflects in his articles some of what is going on in the minds of those circles. He recently wrote an article which establishes the premise of military intervention in Yemen. He deems it "successful" from experience currently undertaken by Egypt, Algeria, and other countries in Libya in order to end the crisis in case the resolution isn't imposed.
In simple terms, al-Rashed is in fact suggesting a frank question about the possibility of repeating the same experience in Yemen. He also calls unequivocally for a regional military intervention in Yemen as he cited a previous experience in which Saudi Arabia and Jordan intervened in the Yemeni war during the sixties. Furthermore he continued literally saying that, "Saudi Arabia and Jordan's intervention back then gave prosperous results which motivated the agitated and externally supported forces to accept medium resolutions that ended the Yemeni war at last. "
Marketing Military Intervention
There is an intensive plan by the "elite" of the Arab world to market the idea of military intervention. It might be either in the name of the international 2140 resolution which put Yemen under chapter 7 or in the name of the common Arab power which several Western reports have talked about its preparation between Egypt and Gulf countries. The reports talked about the quick intervention of Egypt and Gulf countries in unsettled countries in the Arab world, in Yemen in particular. They referred continuously to the US experience in the formation of an international coalition against "Daesh" apart from any international reference. In fact, they started preparing the necessary tools such as classifying Ansarullah as a "terrorist movement" exactly as the United Arab Emirates did last Saturday as well as Saudi Arabia before a few months.
There is pressure being made on Egypt in order to establish a similar step. It is also being securely blackmailed by terrorist operations of known sources in order to show a negative attitude towards Ansarullah Houthis. On top of all that, the US is playing the role of the sponsor of these terrorist operations by decisions the Security Council is carrying out. The Security Council has classified 2 Ansarullah leaders as obstructers of the political condition and it imposed financial sanctions on them as well as preventing them from travelling. However, it is noteworthy to mentions that Jamal bin Omar, the UN envoy had had lunch with one of them (Yehya Abdullah al-Hakim) in Saadah.
We conclude from the previous information that the media at the current phase is working on providing justifications for attacking the Yemeni people. Even though it is clear that all the Yemeni forces have signed the Treaty of Peace and Partnership. This is also in spite of the fact that the Treaty is being put to practice, protests have ended, and camps have been removed from the entrance of the capital. Also, the prime minister has been appointed, Khaled Bahhah has formed his government and most of the parliament members have started work.
However, it seems that someone is unpleasant about seeing the Yemeni people practicing its sovereignty by itself.
In fact, that someone also doesn't want a successful revolution to take place at its borders which might entice its own people to do the same. That is why there is no other solution left but to keep Yemen drowned in chaos and internal wars, and to supprt takfiris. In addition, they encourage internal crises and military intervention if possible.
On the other hand, there are people in Yemen who are diligently and effectively preparing themselves for any worse conditions. Those see that the Yemeni people are capable of holding back any conspiracy. Also, they are a people who rely on God's help in destroying the cunning enemy, and depend on Abed el-Malek's wisdom and leadership which have proven his advanced maturity and awareness. He has been maturely leading the crises and accomplishing divine victories.
Abed el-Malek has also taken the responsibility off of his shoulders when he talked to the surrounding countries. He talked to them in the best way possible just as the Quraanic beliefs instruct. But, he didn't converse with America, which the Yemeni friends feel reassured towards every time it gets involved. They thank God that these "elite" articles reveal the true intentions and masks. They also give a better understanding of the truth and what is really happening in the region, particularly what is being planned against Yemen which "all would be needed, including Sana'a, even if it would take forever" to become free and independent.
