Syrian Dialogue Between Regime and Opposition, in Beirut!

Paying attention to the internal scene, where the dialogue between Hizbullah and the Future movement is still in process, the army proceeds with its security measures, and the presidential void is the concern of France, newspapers also shed light on the savage burning of the Jordanian pilot Maath al-Kassasbah who earlier fell captive in the hands of the terrorist organization Daesh.
As-Safir newspaper started its editorial with description to the savage actions of the terrorist group Daesh, writing "The slaughtered people in Sinjar, Mousol, Aleppo, Reqqa and Qalamoun have one thing in common: the killer. Yet, the Arabs, all Arabs are ashamed of themselves, sinking in feelings of humiliation and lack of dignity. [These Arabs] are ashamed of their history of struggle in the sake of liberation and independence, expelling the colonialists not to mention their battle against the "Israeli" enemy."
According to the paper, the assembly of slaughterers stand in queue to take turn in executing the planned killing scheme, with a crystal clear aim: terrorizing all human beings that the ‘swords' of Daesh will reach the throat of each and every one of them, despite their identity, profession, marital status, whether a father, a mother or a child.
Al-Akhbar daily, for its part, said that the so-called Islamic State's swift escalation from beheadings to more terrifying forms of execution is hardly accidental, accentuating that the Hollywood-like movie that demonstrated the Jordanian pilot burned alive has in fact circulated in minutes after its broadcast, assuring that Daesh is not isolated in the media world but rather pretty much involved.
Yet, according to al-Akhbar, the ‘cinematic Daesh' has nothing to do with the ‘real Daesh'. The few messages [audio-visual] put to the audience right from battlefield without any editing show a different organization than that we see in the official and mainstream publications. Violence is entertaining; No one knows this better than Islamic extremists and Hollywood producers.
Meanwhile, the visit of French official Girault was of attention to papers as well. Diplomatic sources told As-Safir newspaper that the solution proposed by Paris to Lebanon, which was brought through head of the French Foreign Ministry's Head of the Middle East and North Africa department Francois Girault is not a fair one. Girault's visit was allegedly aimed at helping to fill the empty presidential seat in Lebanon, yet sources on Wednesday denied that.
Sources on Wednesday said that the French diplomat "didn't talk about any deadlines or a roadmap to elect a new head of state," but "he was keen to stress the importance of being ready to benefit from any regional and international breakthrough."
"His [Girault's] tour aims at encouraging the Lebanese to take a bold initiative and elect a new president... as there is no solution but to make the election of a president a made in Lebanon matter," the sources noted.
As-Safir's diplomatic furthermore sources highlighted that France, since the beginning tried to put all responsibility on the shouldres of Hizbullah for the tension at the borders, completely ignoring the "Israeli" raids that struck Lebanese territory and the killing of the Spanish UNIFIL peacekeeper, refusing to condemn "Israel" and dismissing its action as violation to UN resolution 1701.
According to an-Nahar newspaper published on Thursday, the French diplomat, who ended a two-day official visit to Lebanon will meet with al-Rahi and senior officials at the Vatican to tackle the presidential deadlock in Lebanon.
Al-Rahi traveled on Wednesday to the Vatican on a three-week visit to take part in the meeting of the College of the Cardinals. Girault had met during his visit with Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, former President Michel Suleiman and Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil and several party leaders.
For his part, head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblat said in comments published in as-Safir newspaper that he discussed with the French official the latest developments in the region.
"I appreciate Girault's mission and France's role in facilitating the presidential stalemate," Jumblat remarked, noting that France is keen to maintain stability in Lebanon and seeking the election of a new head of state more than some Lebanese. "It's a shame," he said.
On the security level, Head of the Lebanese General Security Major Abbas Ibrahim told al-Binaa newspaper "In the file of the abducted Lebanese army soldiers, and that of confronting terrorism, the security apparatuses are putting its utmost effort to confront the challenges. Yet, without a political umbrella, all the accomplishments of the army will seem too little and might be lost too."
He further added "resolving security issues requires more political support, more dialogue and approach among the political powers, which is the umbrella that can protect the accomplishments."
An-Nahar newspaper also touching on the security matters in Lebanon said that security reports Wednesday unveiled that a suicide bomber from the northeastern border town of Arsal has intentions to blow himself up against "civilian or military gatherings," as the army continued to target jihadist gunmen positioned in the town's outskirts.
The paper quoted the state-run National News Agency stated that security forces have obtained information about "Mahmoud Abdul Karim Hmayyed's intention to carry out a suicide operation."
Hmayyed is 21 years old and his mother's name is Nafisa Hmayyed, according to the security memo that was published by NNA.
