Iran FM’s Spokeswoman to Al-Ahed: Nuclear Talks At Critical Stage, Hizbullah Not Terrorist

Tehran, Mokhtar Hadad
The spokeswoman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Mordiya Afkham stated that the ongoing nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne were at a sensitive stage. She indicated the importance of an assurance that the West would likely abide by the agreement.

On the nature of the "good agreement" the Islamic Republic desired, Afkham stated that "our sense of a good deal is an agreement that includes fully lifting the unjust and illegal sanctions and the legal recognition of Iran's rights to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes as a member of the NBT."
Moreover, in response to a question about recent rumors concerning the scrapping of Hizbullah and Iran out of the US terror list, she replied: "The reports in this regard are not important because we have not and never will be any threat to any country in the world".
Afkham continued: "However, the Islamic Republic of Iran is among the states pioneering in the fight against terrorism and opposing to double standards in the political definition of terrorism".
"Hizbullah is a legitimate popular resistance in Lebanon standing against the aggressors and the Zionist entity, and we do not accept it being described as a terrorist; it is a popular organization that emerged from the legitimate resistance of the Lebanese people" the FM spokeswoman declared.
