Russia Foils Terrorist Attack in Moscow

Russia's counter-terrorism agency revealed that has arrested a group of people who were preparing to carry out an attack in Moscow.
The National Anti-Terrorism Committee said in a statement that homemade explosives were found in an apartment in the capital where the group were arrested.
"In the flat, where the gunmen were hiding out, a self-made explosive device has been found and defused," said Andrey Chatskiy, spokesman for the National Anti-Terrorism Committee's information center.
No details about the number or identity of the suspects were given.
Russian news agencies, citing law enforcement sources, said more than 100 residents in the building were evacuated during the raid and supplies of natural gas were cut off during the operation.
TASS cited sources as saying that the target of the terrorist attack was to be in the Moscow.
Russia says 2,400 of its citizens have joined "ISIL" terrorist group.
In details, senior authorities in Russia say hundreds of Chechens left for Syria to join Takfiri "ISIL" militants since the beginning of the conflict in the Arab country in 2011.
