Shamkhani to ’al-Ahed’: Iranian-Russian-Syrian-Iraqi Cooperation will Defeat Terrorism

Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in Iran, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, warned that terrorism became a disease and illness as it turned to a killing machine not only in our region, but against all humanity.
In an exclusive interview with al-Ahed news site, he also considered that the western coalition, composed of 63 countries, doesn't have a successful record that would be relied upon in combatting terrorism.
"They used "Takfiri" terrorism to execute their regional policies," he added.
In parallel, the top Iranian general highlighted that there exists a quadruple cooperation between Iran, Russia, Syria and Iraq in the field of combatting terrorism.
"This group's cooperation has the serious will to face this dangerous terrorist phenomenon."
Shamkhani further added that this cooperation doesn't seek promotion via TV shows. "It is rather witnessed by holding funerals of its martyrs, who died upon confronting terrorists. This is the evidence of their seriousness and credibility."
Meanwhile, the Iranian official urged countries to take similar actions as those taken by this alliance in order to uproot this terrorism as soon as possible.
He also asserted that due to the serious will of the aforementioned quadruple alliance, victory will be achieved in this battle.
Responding to a question on the definition of terrorism, Shamkhani viewed that terrorism is related to money, people, means, capacities, as well as funders.
In this context, he blamed US regional allies for supporting terrorism. "In case they really wanted to fight terrorism, they must end this suppor."
