Saudi regime forces killed a civilian and injured a child in a shooting in Qatif in the Eastern province late on Sunday.

The sources added that Dawoud is from Safwa town while Thaifa is from al-Awamiyah.
The town of al-Awamiyah has been repeatedly subjected to raid and arrest campaign by Al-Saud regime forces who randomly shoot at peaceful houses.
For his part, spokesman of the Eastern province police claimed that a Saudi vehicle was attacked by "unknown side", noting that Dawoud and Thaifa were killed and injured by this "unknown" fire.
The attack comes few days after Saudi authorities announced on Saturday it had executed Sheikh Nimr Baqer al-Nimr along with 46 others.
Sheikh Nimr was a vocal supporter of the mass pro-democracy protests against Riyadh, which erupted in Eastern Province in 2011, where a Shia majority has long complained of marginalization.
The move sparked worldwide concern, with the UN, US and UK urging Riyadh to respect human rights.
