Hizbullah: Larsen, Welch "Two Faces of the Same Coin"

Hizbullah slammed US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Welch and UN Special Envoy for the implementation of Security Council resolution 1559 Terje Roed-Larsen, saying they were "two faces of the same coin." It also renewed the readiness to face any aggression against the country, stressing that Larsen adopts what Israelis and reports' writers in the Lebanese authority provide him with.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hizbullah said Welch has appointed himself a spokesman on behalf of the Lebanese people, "as if heading the ruling bloc meetings allows him to neglect the real representatives of the majority of the Lebanese nation, to incite Lebanese against each other, or to classify them according to their closeness to the US administration policy." Hizbullah recalled Welch's role during the July 2006 war against Lebanon when he defended the Israeli aggression as well as of his major role in rejecting all initiatives to resolve the ongoing crisis, in top of which is the Arab initiative.
The statement emphasized that the concurrent incitements on sedition executed by Welch and his fellows in the US administration alongside banning dialogue among the Lebanese factions "won't divert us from the persevering work for real participation to achieve Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, and save the country from foreign tutelage."
As for Larsen, Hizbullah said he has appointed himself, in his latest UN report, as a custodian controlling Lebanon's politics, economy, popular activities, parliament sessions, the government, TV programs, Lebanese-Palestinian and Lebanese-Syrian relations.
The statement described Larsen as a "suspicious employee," noticing that his report is based on lightening and justifying the Israeli violations to the Lebanese sovereignty alongside ignoring the real threats of the Zionist entity.
Hizbullah concluded its statement by calling on the United Nations to appoint "objective and impartial envoys if it wants to play a fair and just role in the different region causes."
