KSA: Bomb outside US Consulate, 2 Police Officers Injured

Two Saudi police officers were injured in a bomb attack that went off outside the US consulate building in the city of Jeddah.
According to reports, the attacker blew himself up early on Monday morning after he was stopped by local police.
So far, no group claimed responsibility for the blast.
In further details, the bomber was reportedly driving to a mosque in the vicinity of the consulate, while he was pulled over by the police.
Eventually, the area around the consulate was cordoned off by security forces and the consulate's staff members were moved to a safe location.
For his part, a US State Department spokesperson said US officials were working with Saudi officials to get more information on the explosion.
Recently, Saudi Arabia became a target of Daesh [the Arabic acronym for the terrorist "ISIS" group] attacks that killed dozens of people.
