Explosion Rocks Afghan Mosque: 10 Soldiers Dead, 15 Wounded

An explosion took place on Friday in a mosque in the eastern Afghan province of Khost in which ten people were killed, a local official reported.
According to Captain Abdullah, an army spokesman in Khost, the explosion was a suicide bombing which left also 15 wounded.
All of the soldiers who were killed or wounded in the blast were from the 2nd Regiment of the Afghan National Army, according to the captain.
Soldiers were participating in Friday prayers when the suicide attack occurred, at around 1:30 p.m. Kabul time.
The incident occurred in Mandozai district of the province.
No terrorist group has claimed responsibility; however, Daesh [the Arabic acronym for terrorist ‘ISIS/ISIL’ group] has carried out similar attacks in the past.
