"Israeli" army intelligence officials expressed concern during the "Israeli" cabinet's restricted meeting Wednesday over the cooperation between the different elements within the "international jihad movement," including Al-Qaeda, Hamas and Hizbullah.
A statement issued by the "Israeli" prime minister's office said that during the cabinet's meeting, ministers discussed the threats posed by the movements against "Israeli" citizens and Jews across the world, as were detailed in reports submitted to the cabinet by the Shabak and Mossad intelligence services.
"The organizations within the international jihad are a threat to the West, democratic government and moderate Arab sides," the security officials said, noting that these organizations are using the internet and data transfer technologies to coordinate, recruit and carry out jihadi activities.
