"It is Impossible to Coexist with Hizbullah Weapons"!?

A few days after Lebanese detainees in "Israeli" prisons returned to Lebanon in the framework of the Operation Al-Redwan, marking another victory for Lebanon against the Zionist entity enemy thanks to Hizbullah, the ruling bloc was still assailing the Resistance party, seeking to undermine its role in maintaining Lebanon's sovereignty and pride.
Indeed, the so-called March 14 Forces held on Wednesday a workshop on "civil peace and building an independent state," that joined local leaders, members of parliament, and media and political figures at the Bristol hotel in Hamra.
The Resistance topic was, of course, a major topic raised during the workshop. The conferees claimed it was "impossible" to "coexist" with Hizbullah weapons.
During the opening of the workshop, the coordinator for the general secretariat of the "March 14" forces Fares Soaid claimed that the main questions facing the workshop were: "Is there a possibility of cohabitation between "illegitimate arms" and the state? Are the solutions that have been proposed adequate to prevent what occurred on May 7?"
The workshop's discussion paper also slammed the Resistance, ignoring or neglecting all the victories Lebanon has achieved thanks to it. It claimed that after March 14, 2005 there had been "a fragile coexistence between two projects: the project of building an independent state, which had been postponed since the Taif Agreement, and the project of protecting the 'state of the resistance' under the slogan of 'continuing confrontation.' This coexistence lasted until the outbreak of the July 2006 War," according to the mentioned paper.
It seems that the conferees, who are unable to coexist with Hizbullah arms, believe there is no "continuing confrontation" between Lebanon and "Israel". Those conferees were the ones who appeared in the political scene by raising the slogan of sovereignty and independence. Yet, they don't believe they are in a continuous state of war with an enemy that's still occupying a part of their land, that's still violating their airspace in a daily basis, that's still threatening their country in all occasions, and that was still, until last week's victory, holding Lebanese citizens in its prisons. Yet, the "March 14" "sovereignty" wasn't hurt!
SFEIR FOR ONE ARMY IN ONE COUNTRY!
Meanwhile, Maronite patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir said Thursday there should be no army outside state control, in an apparent reference to Hizbullah, the Resistance party possessing weapons.
Sfeir made the remark to members of the syndicate of newspaper editors who visited him at his seat in suburban Bkirki, north of Beirut.
"States of the world have resistance (movements) but these are non-armed factions. The concept here contradicts common concepts in the world," Sfeir added.
He also urged the various factions to "adhere to the nation's interests ... so that the cabinet would be able to work for the interest of all the Lebanese."
